History

Education:
Masters in Urban and Regional Planning

Background:
Currently a Ph.D. student in Urban and Regional Planning. While as a Masters student, I worked on Dr. Karl Kim's Hawaii Crash Outcome Data Evaluation System (CODES) Project. My tasks included performing both spatial analyses using GIS and spatial and multivariate statistical methods. After obtaining my Masters degree, I worked for the Social Science Research Institute on hazard mitigation projects ranging from the Kauai County Hazard Mitigation Plan and Hawaii Drought Study and GIS Analysis. I have also done work with the Water Resource Research Center and the UH Environmental Center on their Source Water Assessment Project and Hawaii Watersheds Project.

I currently manage the GIS lab located in Saunders Hall 112 and I am the Spatial Information System Manager for the UH Space Management Project with the Chancellor's Office.
