Web Standards
The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), along with other groups such as the Web Standards Group and the Web Standards Project have established technologies (web standards) for creating and interpreting web-based content. These standards have been carefully developed so that your sites you create will work today as well as tomorrow. Using standards will allow you to work seamlessly with XML-based web services and tools. Designing with standards will help you stay validated for accessibility laws and guidelines.
College of Social Sciences' web sites are designed and created based on approved CSS web standards. CSS standards reflect to improve the quality of the College’s web presence by establishing consistent standards. These standards relate to usability, accessibility, navigation and the proper use of the College's identity.
Before beginning to design your site, please read through the "web development" pages to make sure you understand the basics of web design.
